My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Merlot! She is in Texas

After a stormy night, a little bundle of joy was discovered in a front yard, and her name is Merlot. This playful and curious kitten, adorned with a coat of snowy white and striking black patches, is ready to steal your heart.

Merlot's adventurous spirit knows no bounds. With each whisker twitch and tail flick, she explores the world around her with wide-eyed wonder. But it's her distinctive mark on her nose that truly sets her apart, adding an extra dash of charm to her already irresistible appeal.

Rescued alongside her siblings, Merlot is now on the lookout for a forever home where she can unleash her playful antics and shower her family with love. Whether she's chasing shadows or batting at toys with her dainty paws, Merlot's zest for life is infectious, promising endless hours of laughter and joy.

If you're searching for a feline companion who will bring light and laughter into your home, look no further than Merlot. Come meet this adorable bundle of energy today and embark on a lifetime of adventures together!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.November 4, 2024, 11:33 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
