My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

King Julian - baby banded king snake. Julian was surrendered to the rescue after he bit a small child. The owner sadly thought that a baby king snake would be an appropriate pet for a 4 year old to handle (completely wrong!) Julian is often found slithering all around his enclosure, he has tried several times to find escape routes, but I have outsmarted him! Julian is just a baby so he does not understand that people are not going to hurt him. As a king snake he has some pretty cool dance moves, he will actually pretend to be a rattle snake and rattle his little tail when he feels threatened. Generally with time these snakes can be docile and are easy to handle.

California King Snakes can live 20+ years in captivity under the right care; so this little one will be a serious commitment for someone!
