Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Muffin is soft and fluffy, a sweet young female cat who LOVES petting, rubbing up against your hand or foot, and is eager for attention.
Her favorite sound is the opening of a pop-top cat food can. Her favorite flavors are chicken and turkey with gravy - and people-chicken or tuna. She comes running to dinner and purrs. She is very comfortable in a home environment, and with people.
She became a stray, but was able to be picked up to be rehomed. She was already spayed, and ear-tipped. She is FIV positive and very healthy, received all 3 vaccinations, a microchip, and a nail trim for grooming. She has definitely been a housepet and rides quietly in a carrier in a car. She didn't like too much poking and prodding at the vet, so for now, she would be best with adults, rather than enthusiastic young kids.
She was found with other cats and interacted well, but in a new environment, she may give a low growl (even while purring) around new cats to identify her food or her territory, without aggression. So readjustment to homelife may be best as a primary indoor cat with people who can give her the love and stroking that she misses and craves, in a forever home. Our goal is to eliminate the euthanasia of companion animals in Galveston County by promoting and providing resources, education, and programs to transform animal welfare in our communities.
What makes us different is we were created to not just help animals, but people too. We realize that animals and people are very much interconnected, and a big part of our organization is outreach.
