Velvet is an active, happy puppy we rescued from a California shelter who was urgent to reduce their shelter capacity. We don't like to see puppies growing up in shelters so we decided to make her a part of our program.
- Approximately 13 weeks old and 14lbs
- Possibly a Border Collie/Pit Bull mix but we are only just giving it our best guess
- Loving, social, sweet pup who will thrive with training and exercise
- Loves other dogs. Will do best in a future home with a male dog if other dogs are in the home.
- Super smart and offers auto sits now as she works on learning not to jump up on people
- We suspect she would probably do ok with a cat since she is so young still
- Working hard on potty and crate training in foster but she will need continued efforts in that area as any young puppy would
Velvet is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery at our partner vet clinic in Tualatin or SW Portland later in 2024. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin.

Interview
We give you a call over the phone. If we think you and the dog could be a good match we provide you with the foster home's contact info.

Meet the Pet
Call the foster home and set up a time to meet the dog you're interested in.
4.
Home Check
If you like the dog and want to finalize the adoption, we would drop the dog off at your home during a home visit.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
We will email or provide you a physical copy of the adoption contract to complete when you meet the dog.
