My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

style="color: #0ba7b4;">How this pet arrived:
Harrison was brought in by a community member.

Why Harrison is the one for you:
Meet Harrison, a sweet and resilient cat with a heart of gold. Despite his health challenges, Harrison greets each day with a gentle purr and a determination to enjoy life to the fullest. He's affectionate and loves to be around people, soaking up attention and giving plenty of love in return. Harrison's positive spirit makes him a special companion for anyone willing to provide him with the care he needs. Harrison was found as a stray and later diagnosed with diabetes. He has adapted well to his daily insulin routine and thrives with proper management. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a sweet cat who will reward you with endless love and gratitude, please email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org!

At SDHS:
Harrison has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
