After Lucky Blue was surrendered to Chesterfield Square Shelter in Los Angeles by his owners for unknown reasons, we scooped him up to become a Frosted Face on June 24th. He is 11 years old and weighs 73 lbs.
Lucky Blue is super sweet, gentle, and friendly. He does great with the many other dogs in his play group at FFF and passed his cat test, too! Lucky Blue enjoys going for walks and on our weekly hikes. He has pep in his step and the stamina to do a 3+ mile hike!
Lucky Blue went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him in a home setting, and he earned a rave review! His Fling Mom reports:
"Lucky Blue is the sweetest dog and has been a very loving and respectful house guest! He learned "come", "lie down", and "go potty" very quickly, and he always let me know when he needed to go outside by sitting by the back door.
Walks/Dogs:
Loves to sniff and matches me stride for stride. Lucky Blue was friendly towards other dogs he meets on walks, and he got along great with my dog, who is normally terrified by big dogs. They walked really well together and co-habitated lovingly in my small apartment, with no issues.
Car Rides:
Lucky stays very relaxed during car rides, like on walks he enjoys the smells so he's extra happy with the window down. He was able to hop into my hatchback, but after long days out, I'd assist him out of the car for his safety and comfort.
People/Home:
Lucky is the best dog when it comes to people! He loves the attention though is sometimes aloof to people wanting to pet him. Like I mentioned earlier, he does great at breweries, lying down for most of the time, non-reactive. I also brought him into work, which is an office environment, and he stuck around my department without having to be on leash, welcomed pets from co-workers and communicated when he needed a bathroom break/walk.
After light exercise, Lucky is all about chilling. Just wants to be in his bed unless he's hydrating or refueling. He enjoys treats but is not treat/food driven, and knows how to wait his turn. Lucky got at least 3 walks a day and never had an accident the whole time I had him. Good boy, Lucky!
Anyone would be Lucky to have him as a family member! You can tell he has a very gentle soul."
Are you looking for a loving, devoted companion? Stop by to meet Lucky Blue between 10:00am and 2:00pm!
