Henry was a kitten when we found him in our neighborhood. We rescued him and he quickly became friends with "Buddy (Abner) and they've been together ever since (almost 7 years). He's a sweet and soft spoken cat who's way of expressing love is to just be in the same room as you. He will come up for head pets when he feels like it, and will often rub his body against your legs. He likes to jump on your lap when he's in the mood. He is a bit sassy and makes funny noises from time to time, especially high pitched chirps when he sees a bird outside the window. He is coming from a household with a cat "brother, a 15-pound maltese dog, and 2 very little children. He steers clear of the dog and kids. He warns the dog from coming near him and will stand his ground with warning meows. The kids he is friendly with and has no problems, but would rather keep his distance. A good household would have adult humans and possibly another cat. He is excellent at using the litter box and really covers his business up. We are rehoming him because we have expanded our family with the demands of small children and are unable to give the cats the love or attention they deserve. We love and care for him deeply and hope he finds a new home where the family can give him the love and attention he deserves.
When Buddy lost his cat companion, he was heartbroken. But life had a surprise in store for him - a friendly stray cat named Mr. Henry. With his regal swagger and charming personality, Henry quickly won over everyone's hearts and became Buddy's new best friend.
Brothers for the last 7 years, they love to cuddle, play, and even wrestle like brothers. They've been through thick and thin together and rely on each other for comfort and companionship.
Now, because of a cross country move, Buddy and Henry are looking for a new place to call home. Ideally they can find a loving family that understands their bond.
If you're looking for double the love and fun, Buddy and Henry are your guys. They're guaranteed to bring laughter and joy into your life with their playful antics and affectionate personalities. Plus, they'll always be there to keep each other company, so you'll never have to worry about them feeling lonely.

Our adoption process is designed with the pet and the family in mind. We look to make the process as easy and efficient as possible for our adopters, while also preserving the key safeguards that ensure we place our kitties with loving homes they can be sure to stay with forever. Sometimes we may ask for a virtual home visit via video or FaceTime to gain more insight into what kind of kitty will best fit your lifestyle and environment.

More about this rescue
It all started in 2020 when Friends of Normie founder Ladan Davia found a mother cat and six kittens on the side of the road. All of the shelters and rescues she called in hopes of ensuring this feline family’s safety told her to leave them outside or that they were at capacity. So Ladan went to her local hardware store, bought a trap, and set up a makeshift shelter for the seven cats in her bathroom.
Through the local cat network Ladan got connected to Marla, a rescuer with 25 years of rescue experience. Together, they rescued thousands of cats over the next two years, setting the foundation for what Friends of Normie is today. Without a physical facility, Marla and Ladan utilized a network of committed volunteer fosters to give new rescues temporary, loving homes until they were adopted. Along the way, FON harnessed the power of social media to mobilize the Southern California cat community.
This community began to gain traction as more and more people began following its journey. Today, Friends of Normie has over 40,000 followers who support the rescue and collectively help cats get matched with fosters and adopters quickly.
