My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There's quite a story with this litter.

Loves and her puppies came from Houston, Texas. Loves (mom) was abandoned at Loves gas station and lived on her own for four months. She then had puppies and after the pups were two weeks old, they were brought to a shelter.

Forever Fido was notified that Loves and her puppies were on borrowed time and if they didn't have a rescue, they'd all be euthanized.

We are guessing they were born around 5/11. They will be ready to go around July 10th but we'd like to start accepting applications and matching them with their families.

These puppies are super friendly and LOVE people, they have been with kids of all ages, dogs of all ages and sizes and will adapt to living with a cat as they are still young enough.

We have no idea who dad is but mom is a very sweet Pointer/Lab mix that will weigh about 50lbs.

These puppies will be up to date on distemper, will have a current wellness check and microchip at the time of their adoption. Due to their age, any adopter will take the responsibility on to finish out their DHPP and rabies vaccination series.

If you are interested in a pup, please fill out an application on our website and a volunteer will be in touch. https://foreverfido.org/adoptable-dogs/ If you email us through Adopt-A-Pet, you will be directed to do so before we speak with you. So, you will save time completing the application first.

Our adoption fee also covers a lot of post-adoption support to ensure a successful placement. Please see our adoptable dogs page for more information.

****Forever Fido Puppy Rescue is located near Rochester, MN. We will not ship dogs and a Meet & Greet with the dog you are interested in is required to be done in person.****

Come see these puppies at Puppies and Yoga on July 4th in Stewartville, MN and/or at Thirsty Belgium on July 7th! Our Facebook page has more event details!

Additional adoption info

The dogs in our care will be adopted out with an updated vet exam, they will be up to date on their rabies (if of age), and DHPP. All dogs will also be microchipped and dewormed. If they are of age, they will also be altered. We do not do pediatric spays or neuters so a deposit is required at the time of adoption, once the dog is altered, the deposit will be returned.

Due to the American Veterinary Medical Association's recommendation to not spay/neuter dogs under 6 or 12 months depending on breed and our vets recommendation. Large-breed puppies under 6-months will not be altered prior to adoption but do require a deposit that will be returned once your dog is altered. Small breed and adults that are 6-months or older, will be done prior to adoption.

During the time spent at Forever Fido, all dogs will be socialized with many confident and social dogs of all ages, safely interact with kids of many ages, appropriately meet a variety of humans, start potty and crate training, and begin basic puppy manners including impulse control.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue aiming to create a community that recognizes and prioritizes each dog’s individual needs and well-being through all stages of their life. Our goal is to reduce the number of animals being re-homed, surrendered to shelters, or living in unfair environments.
