My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Pivoine arrived at the Animal Rescue Network in 2011. Beautiful Pivoine was the mother of at least 3 litters of kittens before arriving at the shelter. Luckily for the little family, a kind lady fed them before bringing them to the shelter. In 2018, Pivoine was adopted by a good family. Unfortunately, in 2024, her family had to move and couldn't bring Pivoine with them, despite the love they had for her. As a result, our shelter arranged to take Pivoine, now 15 years old, back into care. Pivoine did not enjoy her return to the shelter, but is now doing well. She's very affectionate and appreciates our cuddles. She doesn't like being handled, but that's no big deal. She seems to cohabit well with the other cats. Pivoine is really a senior cat who needs a lot of affection. She'll need a caring family to accompany her in this new stage of her long life. She's greedy and her coat is very soft. She will be taken to the vet before adoption for dental care as she has tartar and gingivitis. She also has a 2/6 heart murmur. Pivoine is a senior cat, therefore the adoption fees for her are $100. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first month following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

In order to get a chance to adopt her, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:  https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
