My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful Nicky he has the happiest disposition a dog could have.  He just LOVES people.  He looks to the person walking him for guidance and reassurance.  He loves to go for a fun walk then come home and snuggle up with his human and get belly rubs.  He is SUPER smart and knows sit, wait, heel, and let's go.  He learns quickly and wants to please. He will quickly bond with his special human(s) and be easy to train.

Nicky is a mixed breed, probably with some Shepherd.  He isn't too large, a nice medium size.  He likes dogs but needs to be introduced properly to other dogs.  He is currently fostered and enjoys playing with his doggie sibling.  While he enjoys having a having a doggie friend we think he would also be fine as an only dog as long as he continues to get proper socialization.  He does have alot of energy so we think he would do best with a fenced yard.  He would be a great dog to take hiking or to play fetch in the back yard.  He LOVES to play with toys and will entertain himself pretty independently.  At his foster's he does very well in the crate at night and is housetrained.

Nicky had a hard early life - roaming the streets in South Carolina.  Happily he was found and taken to the shelter where he received great care.  During his wanderings he seems to have suffered an injury to his front leg, which luckily does not cause him pain.  Despite this tough beginning he still has faith that his special human will come along and give him the life he deserves.

Nicky would make a great addition to any family.  Do you have room in your life for a sweet furry companion who just wants to be loved?
