Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Norman was picked up as a stray and found himself in a high kill shelter in SoCal. The other dog he came in with was adopted right away, leaving Norman alone and heartbroken. Thankfully Road Dogs pulled him from the shelter and transported him to us for a lot of TLC. Estimated around 8 years old (based on his teeth being in decent shape) Norman bears all the hallmarks of being used as a stud dog and kept in a cage. His spine and rear legs have odd conformation (but radiographs have shown he does not have disc disease and the arthritis is minimal currently) - he just walks like a lil crab. But he can still run, jump, and is pain free and active. Norman's right eye and ear have damage - most likely from constant scratching and rubbing at his chronic ear infections that were left untreated. His eyes and ears are infection free but his right eye is mildly atrophied with limited vision. He is not in pain and needs no treatment, it's just his special eye. His right ear is scarred (cauliflower ear) and he has some mild hearing loss - but again, he is in no pain and needs no treatment. Norman has had full medical testing, been neutered, and got his weight up to a healthy place. He's a loving boy who just wants a person of his own. He does well with other dogs but can be possessive over toys and treats around other male dogs. He is doing really well learning housebreaking manners but will take a little patience to teach him not to mark if there are other dogs in the home - he is already almost completely free of this habit but belly bands are helping him understand.
