Princess is a 10 month old Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua (called a Chorkie), only about 8-10 pounds. When she first came into foster she feared other dogs, did not acknowledge her name, went to potty in her crate and everywhere else but outside, tried to dart out the door every chance she got, paced and was extremely jumpy.
Now, she comes in when called, has fun playing with other dogs, loves car rides and her daily walks, has very few accidents and even earned rights to sleep in the big bed at night. This is what a foster home does for a dog! She has received her first shots and is waiting for her spay date and then will be ready to adopt. She is a fierce, feisty love bug with tons of energy and spunk.
Princess came to Paws and Prayers after being passed to two different senior owners who found she was just too much for them. Clearly, Princess will need a younger, more active home.
Since she IS still a puppy, Princess has lots to work on as she grows and matures. This is going to require plenty of patience and consistency. She's very affectionate with her people but is wary of strangers. Due to her youth and small size, she requires potty breaks every few hours, she needs a family with a schedule that can accomodate that. (long hours in a crate, doggie doors and pee pads would not be an option for her).
To adopt her, please complete our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org. Her adoption fee is $400 but she has so much love to give!
