Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Valencia Wiggles is a charming and affectionate English Bulldog with a ton of wrinkles and a big heart. Estimated at 4/5 years old and weighing in at 40lbs, her weight means nothing to her as being a lap dog. With that being said she a velcro dog who loves to stay close to her foster human, rarely letting her out of sight unless she’s sleeping. Her playful and loving nature makes her a delightful companion, even though her clinginess can sometimes be a bit much. Valencia is incredibly affectionate and enjoys the company of other dogs, often watching them and observing the world around her.
Valencia has had quite a journey with her health. She was found as a stray and rescued by the Freedom Squad, who discovered she had a massive hernia from multiple C-sections. During her surgery to repair the hernia, a tumor was found in her uterus. Although it was large and deep, most of it was successfully removed, and she’s now in the clear. Valencia has recovered well from the invasive surgery and was spayed at the same time. She is in good health now but will need regular check-ups to monitor her condition. Since she has so many wrinkle’s they will need to be cleaned weekly with wrinkly wipes or they will get irritated and infected, and wrinkle cream applied to them.
Valencia is still working on potty training and needs a patient and understanding family to help her improve. She does go outside but sometimes she will be outside a very long time and then come back in and go in the house. It is very common in rescue dogs, especially strays as they are use to going wherever they want. Building her confidence and encouraging her in potty training will be key to her success. She is not a fan of the crate and prefers to stay out of it, which might require some adjustment and training. Valencia is highly treat-driven, which makes her a quick learner when motivated with her favorite snacks.
Valencia loves cooling off in the baby pool and enjoys spending time outdoors. She doesn’t require extensive exercise but enjoys moderate playtime and short walks. Her favorite activities include splashing in water and wiggling her butt for treats. She is a complete love bug and gets along with all dogs as she could careless seems like the more the merrier in her eyes.
Valencia is looking for a loving home where she can be a close companion to her humans. She would do well in a household with other dogs and enjoys observing her surroundings. Her ideal home would have a yard with a baby pool where she can cool off and play. A family that can provide her with plenty of affection, patience, and understanding regarding her potty training needs would be perfect.
