My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cozy is a female Chihuahua mix between 5-6 years old. She is spayed, current on age appropriate vaccines & microchipped. She recently had her teeth cleaned. She weighs around 11lbs.

Cozy got her name for a reason - she loves to cozy up in bed with you, under your blankets or on your pillow. She is independent but also really enjoys human interaction - she would be a great companion dog. She gets along with other dogs & all sized humans. She would enjoy a low-key, slow-trafficked home. She loves a good belly rub! She has never been on a leash/harness & would enjoy a small patio or yard where she can sunbathe & enjoy the fresh air safely! She is mostly potty trained but accidents should be expected while she adjusts to a new environment/routine. She does not need to be crated.

Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com & you will be contacted within 48hrs if your application fits her current needs.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
