Diego was picked up as a stray by Crandall Animal Control. The shelter can only hold about 6 dogs at once, so they euthanize for space. Diego’s time was running out the second he stepped inside the facility. Once one of our board members saw him there, she knew she had to save him. He officially joined Rescue Row this past week! Diego is a 1 year old, 13 lb, Chihuahua mix who is as sweet as can be. He is a total lap dog who loves to cuddle and be loved on. While he loves to relax, he balances it out with lots of activity. Diego is good with other dogs and loves his people. He is crate and potty trained, and he walks well on a leash. His vetting is complete, and he is ready to find his forever home. If you are interested in adopting Diego, you can apply for adoption at www.rescuerowinc.org!

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
