Take the Pet Home
Meet Junior!
This adorable 5 month old hound mix boy came to us with his brother Shiloh. These boys were sadly not treated well in their previous home and we are happy to now have them safe with us in a foster home. These boys are so lovely! They are well behaved and gentle fellas.
Both boys do very well with other dogs, excellent around humans and for young hounds are surprisingly calm. They have some things to learn still, things like leash walking, potty training etc. Unfortunately these basic things were denied them in their early months of life. They spent most of their time confined to a crate and were very skinny. They are putting some weight on now and are happy boys.
From Junior himself:
Hi, my name is Junior! Although I look remarkably like my brother Shiloh, I have a distinctive and uniquely quirky slightly crooked tail. The rescue is uncertain how it happened, but it doesn't bother me at all.
I'm an outgoing fella who is amazingly low key. Don't get me wrong, Shiloh and I tussle our fair share but when foster mom sits at her computer, we both know it's time to chill out and nap. I love laying by foster mom's chair, but I would rather be curled up in her lap. Anytime she sits down, I am right by her snuggling in. I quickly learned that if I sit, I get treats. So now I'm sitting on my own when I come in from outside. I heard it only takes once for me catch on, except when it comes to potty training. But hey, aren't we all a work in progress?
When it comes to socializing, I want to be friends with everyone I meet although I am curious but indifferent when it comes to cats. While I would much prefer to be sunbathing on the pup cot, if you take me to an open-air market, I will rest by your feet while you shop in the booths. Just be sure that no one trips on me.
I would love to be your outdoor brewery lounging, farmer's market visiting, or festival exploring companion. Anywhere you go, I will guarantee that I want to be by your side. Can't you just imagine your life with me? Think of all the places we'll go and how much fun we'll have together.
Please apply to adopt me.
Junior and his brother will be vaccinated, chipped and neutered. The adoption fee is $495.
We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
