My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louie and Lola are a brother/sister pair who have lived together their whole lives. They need to stay together in their next home. We rescued these two when they were 4 years old and were adopted together. Unfortunately, their mom tragically passed away this year and they came back to us. Louie and Lola are now about 7 years old. They are very sweet, easy dogs! Louie is more outgoing and friendly with everyone while Lola is a little more reserved and shy. She follows Louie and likes having him near. It may take Lola some time to warm up to you, but there have been some people she just instantly falls in love with and we don't know what makes them special to her! Typically, Lola does best with females and lived with a retired lady in her previous home but we have a male volunteer that Lola is obsessed with and she will even forget all about her brother to follow him around! Louie and Lola just want a place to relax and hang out with their human. They will follow you around the house and become your biggest fans. Louie and Lola are not super hyper but they can be playful and goofy at times. They love to cuddle and enjoy walks, car rides and chewing on toys. They both get along with other dogs and cats but they wouldn't appreciate any young pups jumping all over them. They mostly ignore our animals. Louie is 25lbs and Lola is 15lbs. They are housebroken, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. You can do a trial with them before officially adopting to make sure it's a good fit! If you're interested in meeting them, please submit an adoption application on our website at www.dominoeffectanimalrescue.orgJuly 5, 2024, 3:10 am

Additional adoption info

Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

Adoption Fees:
$400 for puppies (6mo or younger)
$350 for adult dogs
$250 for senior dogs (8+years)

$150 for kittens (6mo or younger)

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Please check our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dominoeffectanimalrescue to find out when our next show will be!

More about this rescue

Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
