My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darling Daphne is a long hair Chihuahua mix ready for a soft place to land. Daphne came to us thru our partners at King County Animal Control as they were unable to process her and get her needed veterinary care quickly. Daphne has now been Spayed, had a Dental, along with Microchip and updated vaccinations, she is 100% ready for her forever home.

Daphne has fear aggression with strangers, it will take someone with patience to show her she is in a safe space with safe people to win her trust. She will time to decompress without pressure and work with her so she can blossom into the loving, fun and playful sweetheart she has shown us she can be with her accepted people.

Daphne has a sponsored adoption fee for a $500 discount, her adoption fee is only $150!

Miss Daphne should go to an adult only home, she will need someone with patience to give her the time and space to decompress and realize you are her safe place and person. If you're looking for a loving companion who enjoys both cuddle time and playtime, Daphne can be that dog, with a heart full of love and a playful spirit, this affectionate little lady is not only great on a leash but also loves to play fetch and has a special talent for finding the squeaker in her toys. She's ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless love to her new people. Will you be the one to give her the time and safe loving home she deserves?

If you are looking for that couch companion, or neighborhood walking partner, and have patience and love to give, Daphne will pay you back in kisses and cuddles. This little lady deserves the good life ahead of her!

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
