We feed the strays in my area and on the day of the eclipse a very pregnant female ran thru our front door and hid under the guest bed....where she had her litter of kittens shortly after.
We have cats and dogs and we couldn't just put them outside ...flooding and bad storms were ongoing at the time as well.
So now 9 weeks later we have 4 kittens that are litter trained and eating and playing ...mama cat weened them and left ..she returns every so often and we let her in til she's ready to leave.
I cannot just release the kittens.. it seems cruel as they were raised indoors. But we cannot keep them as we have pets already and 4 more is just too much. The babies have so much personality and charm... they play and run all day with our dogs and other cats.
As much as I love them I know I cannot keep them.
4 males. RALPH AND FLUFFY are black and gray tabbies.
Boberry and HAUS are orange tabbies..
born during the eclipse ..10 weeks old tomorrow
