Monique is a lucky little girl who was born in a loving foster home where she and her siblings have known nothing but TLC their entire lives. Their fate could have been very different though. Monique’s mom Mia was found stray and was taken to a shelter. She was fortunate enough to have a family offer to foster her right away, especially because it was quickly discovered that Mia was pregnant, and she gave birth at her foster home only 3 weeks later. When Mia refused to nurse her babies, the foster family took over by bottle feeding the tiny puppies until they were old enough for kibble. The puppies were born on March 22 and are now about 13 weeks old. They weigh approximately 4 pounds and are all healthy, happy and feisty!
“They are all sweethearts,” acording to their foster mom, “and when you have one on one contact they love to give kisses, love affection and just love our attention… every night I hold each one and ask for my kiss before they go to bed. Monique is one of the more laid back puppies but she sure enjoys playing.”
