INTRODUCING OAKLEY

Oakley is a 5-year-old white German Shepherd mix and the most affectionate, cuddly, and loving dog you'll ever find. He loves laying in his human's lap, cuddling at night, and getting all the ear and belly rubs possible. At home, he is relaxed and calm but always ready to jump up and play fetch at a moment's notice. Oakley enjoys camping, hiking, swimming, going for walks, and playing in the yard. He is great with all people.

Oakley had a rough start in life; he was found abandoned in a cooler with his siblings as a puppy, which left him with some trauma and separation anxiety. This manifests as difficulty in sharing toys with other dogs, and he may exhibit some assertiveness when stressed or scared. Because of this, we believe Oakley would thrive best in a home where he is the only dog, allowing him to receive 100% of the attention and love he deserves. He is house-trained and requires a fenced yard.

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!

PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.

Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.

Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
