Meet our very sweet and lovable guy named Gizmo! Gizmo is a very friendly little guy who was picked up by a police officer when they found him wandering in the street alone. Our vet staff believes Gizmo is about 7-8 years old. When Gizmo was first found, his hair was extremely overgrown and filthy, especially around his muzzle and feet area. The area around his mouth was basically one big dirty mat. (See his before picture above). Despite being a grooming mess, Gizmo has always been an outgoing and silly little guy who loves to be with people! He was recently completely shaved down while he was neutered, but all of his hair will grow back. We are looking for someone who has experience with dogs that need REGULAR GROOMING! This is an added expense that needs to be remembered when adopting a dog that has the type of hair that continuously grows and needs to be groomed every 2-3 months! Gizmo's teeth were also all rotted, so he had a dental. He no longer has any teeth, but he is feeling so much better! He is very food motivated and will eat by soft and hard foods. Gizmo is good with other dogs and he can go to a home with children 10 years old and older.

You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
