My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gigi will pull you in with those striking blue eyes but her happy-go-lucky personality is what grabs hold of your heart. She is a petite little thing too, big personality in a tiny frame makes for an adorable combo. Weighing just 42 lbs she’s what I lovingly call travel size- wont’ take up much room and is exactly the right size for adventures. She won’t even take up a whole couch cushion, and when she really gets in close for cuddles she takes up even less space since almost half of her is on you. While her breed is a bit of a mystery, we think she might have some Australian Shepherd in her, but she’s probably a delightful mix of multiple breeds—a true Texas surprise!

Watch her shine, and see her personality leap through the screen: https://youtu.be/y5W0XSnaBO8

When it comes to personality, Gigi’s the whole package! She’s very dog friendly and she loves to play. She's a rough and rowdy player who loves to let loose and run around with her doggy friends. Chase is one of her favorite games! She loves bobbing and weaving through all of her doggy friends seeing which one will catch her first. Gigi even joins in large playgroups regularly, often with anywhere from 10-15 dogs, and that is a variety of personalities and sizes. Gigi is her own little cheerleader, always the life of the party and she’ll need a playmate that loves to play just as much as she does. If you have a furry friend that loves to play and can’t seem to find a playmate that can keep up, look no further because Gigi is your gal. Not only is she very dog friendly, she’s cat friendly too and has lived with cats before.

Her basics are already solid too! Gigi is fully potty and crate trained, and she’s a quick learner with commands like sit, down, and touch, especially when treats are involved. She’s great on a leash but can get a little excited when she sees other dogs, but has been gentle-leader trained which is a great tool to use as needed. She aims to please and she loves a challenge. This confident little girly is even a fast learner when it comes to agility courses! If you have ever wanted a dog to learn agility, Gigi is ready for it! She is one of the first dogs I have seen learn so quickly to jump through a raised hoop, maybe five minutes and a few treats were all it took. Her confidence really shines when being introduced to learning new physical skills. Climbing ramps, weaving, navigating platforms, she looks like a natural and truly enjoys it. She also loves the water! This girl really can do it all. With the right training and guidance, there’s nothing you can throw her way she wouldn’t be able to do. She would be the perfect adventure companion to take with you on walks, hikes, and could even make a fantastic running partner.

Plus, this girl is great with kids of all ages—super tolerant of their antics—and has even been know to join on the trampoline when invited. Did you also see her playing in the kiddie pool with all of the balls?! I mean it doesn’t get better than that! Imagine grilling outside with your family, kids running around, sun is shinning, the perfect day and you have little miss Gigi right by your side playing with the kids and completing the family dynamic. That sounds pretty perfect if you ask me. She is so loving and one of our volunteers took her on a little doggy date and she had never met her before and her main take away from her date was how loving Gigi is. She also said she was a fantastic car rider and was a perfect lady during their whole date.

Gigi’s personality really seals the deal—she’s one-of-a-kind! Whether it’s her playful energy, her love for dog toys, or her sweet cuddles, she’s ready to light up your life. Gigi is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and waiting for her forever home! Don’t miss your chance to make this sweet girl part of your family!

*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
