Delilah is around 5 months old. and weighs 25 lbs . She might be around 45 lbs when fully grown. She is a cute little fur ball who looks to be a shepherd mix.
She loves the dog in her foster home and would really enjoy the company of another submissive dog. She would do fine as an only dog with humans who would play with her and exercise her. She loves all people and dogs and is great meeting dogs in our neighborhood. Her previous foster home had a cat, and she did well with it. She is a very outgoing friendly puppy who is looking for her forever home. She would do best in a home with older children who have experience living with a dog/puppy.
Delilah would prefer a fenced in yard since she likes to be outside. She does not like loud noises and will want to come back inside if she hears them. Delilah is working on house training and doing very well when taken outside on a regular schedule. She goes to the door when she has to go out. She sleeps all night in her crate with no accidents. She is very food motivated which will help with continued training.
Delilah is a smart, mostly quiet dog. She catches on very quickly to commands. She is very loving. She is a delight to have around our family. She is sassy in a good way with so much personality. She is crate trained and is great in the crate. Please consider giving this sweet girl a wonderful home filled with love. She will give that love right back to you!

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized after they are altered at 5-6 months old. Adopters must be willing to bring the puppy to the Raleigh area for all medical care needed. Foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
