For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Meet Tommy the Tom Cat, the most stylish boy around sporting his marmalade-coloured coat and big doughy eyes!
Tommy loves to play with his brother Dasher, romp around with all of his toys and take long naps in the sun.
He will probably be the cuddliest cat you will ever meet, he just can't get enough!
When he's in his cuddle mode he knows no boundaries and will flop and purr all over you.
True to his orange nature, this sweet as honey boy comes with a little bit of *orange zest*.
He loves cuddles so much that he can't help but give a little love bite.
He means it in the best way he swears! And he doesn't do it hard (though kitten teeth are kitten teeth).
Tommy is still young and will likely grow out of this phase, and to help him build great habits, practicing 'calm cuddles' will go a long way.
His big brother Dasher also helps him with his kitten antics, gently but firmly letting him know when to go a bit slower.
And just like his brother, he is a champion at his litter box, and pretty tidy too!
You can pick him up in any which way and he will melt in your arms.
Which also helps when cutting his claws.
Tommy relies on his big brother to help him through scary moments (like the vacuum), and Tommy is getting more confident everyday.
Tommy is on the lookout for a best friend, he would do fantastic in any household.
There is no doubt this golden boy will grow into a playful, hilarious and endearing family companion.
Tommy loves to be loved and would do great in any home.
He gets along with other cats, respectful dogs and kids.
He would likely thrive in a family with children above 7-8 years old that would love a playful, cuddly (and sometimes zesty) kitten.
Tommy and Dasher do not have to be adopted together, while they are buddies, they are not bonded.

***Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company.***
Due to an unprecedented demand (especially for kittens) we regret that we are unable to respond by phone to all of the applications we are currently receiving.
We are only able at this time to phone those applicants who have sent in an online adoption application, can provide a vet reference and their criteria matches what the particular cat or kittens' needs are.
We regret any inconvenience caused as we do our best to meet the overwhelming demand we are currently experiencing.
We want to make sure that our rescued cats and kittens go to good, loving homes so before we adopt, an adoption counselor will conduct a short pre-adoption interview to make sure that you and the cat are a good match.

Abbey Cat Adoptions is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to finding permanent homes for unwanted cats and kittens throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Each year, ACA rescues cats from outdoor environments and overcrowded shelters.
Our cats live in a network of volunteer foster homes throughout the GTA until they are adopted into suitable, loving homes; we do not have a shelter.
We are not government funded and we have no paid staff; we rely exclusively on the generosity of like-minded animal lovers to fund our program.
