My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Frosty, he is a silly, very active older kitten. He gives silly a whole new definition. He will keep you laughing and engaged at all times. He would definitely be best in a home with other cats or dogs. He has made friends with the large dogs in his foster home. He is a very helpful cat and tried to help with pictures today. Hence the interesting pictures. Frosty is a special need. X rays show that his pelvis was broken when he was young and it healed on its own. He needs to have a diet that consists mostly of wet cat food to prevent and obstruction. It hasn't dampened his spirit whatsoever.

FROSTY Here ....... I am an incredibly handsome young cat. I tried to help with pictures today and I was informed that I was not the photographer and my assistance was not needed. I should be the judge of that! A picture speaks a thousand words and I should have my say.
I am looking for a lively home with lots of fun and friends. I have friends here at my foster home. The dogs here are really nice and there are other cats to play with. I would like to be in a house like this one. Lots of fun and
great food! I would like to have a home of my own.... what do you think?

Additional adoption info

Before any Angel’s Wish animal is placed in a new home, he or she is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for parasites and any known medical concerns. Cats are tested for FeLV/FIV; dogs are tested for heartworm and are microchipped. Upon adoption, all animals are eligible for one month of complimentary ShelterCare Pet Insurance. Cats adopted at the Angel's Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center also go home with a goodie bag, a coupon for a free nail trim, and a $5 off coupon for microchipping. 100% of adoption fees are applied to animal medical care.

An application, adoption fee, and contract is required.

About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.

Adopt a new furry friend
Our volunteer foster homes get to know their fostered animals well and understand their personalities—allowing us to make great matches between people and pets! Let us know about your family situation, current pets, and the type of pet you are looking for and we can guide you to animals that would be a great match.

Our primary adoption site is the Angel’s Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center at 161 Horizon Drive, Suite 106 in Verona-just a few minutes from Madison. Visit adoptable animals, and get acquainted in private visiting rooms. Open hours are Saturdays 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.

We also hold weekly adoptions on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm at Petsmart East in Madison at 2216 East Springs Drive.

Stop by a regularly scheduled or special “mobile” adoption event at locations throughout Dane, Jefferson, and Rock counties. Please see our website to see where the pets will be next!

More about this rescue

Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.

Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.

Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.
