My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPT MOOSE! 🐾

Moose is a one-of-a-kind companion with a big personality and even bigger heart. 💖 This affectionate boy absolutely adores his humans and has the sweetest way of showing it. Every morning, Moose will make sure you start your day with love, gently nibbling on your ears and nose, plopping on your head, and purring as loudly as his little body will let him. He’s a walking, purring alarm clock that guarantees you’ll wake up smiling! ☀️💕

When it comes to playtime, Moose is the MVP of fun. ⚽ His foster mom calls him a "soccer cat" because of his talent for kicking ball toys all around the house. 🏆 Moose loves anything interactive and will happily spend hours showing off his skills. And then there are his famous zoomies—prepare for endless laughter as he zooms around the house making his signature “warbling” noises, looking at the ceiling and yelling hilariously. 😹 He’s a true entertainer who’ll keep you smiling all day long.

Moose also loves spending time with other cats. 🐈🐾 He’d be over the moon to be adopted with one of his foster siblings—Carl, Eric, or Russell—so he can continue his zoomie sessions and snuggle time with a buddy. Having a cat friend in his forever home would help him thrive!

While Moose is full of energy and affection, he’s also very shy in new situations. He needs a patient and understanding family who can give him the time and love he needs to feel safe and confident in his new surroundings. Wet food is the key to his heart, so keep some handy to win him over! 🥫💖

** Moose MUST go to a home with another playful cat (or he can be adopted with a second kitty for half the adoption fee!). He needs a quiet, indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. He needs a patient family who will give him time to adjust, plenty of love, attention and playtime. **

Moose does great with other cats after proper introductions. Moose would be best in a home without dogs. He does well with respectful, older children and he is litter box trained.

If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and endlessly entertaining companion, Moose might just be your purr-fect match. 🐾 Give this sweet soccer star a chance to show you how amazing life with him can be—he’s ready to be your best friend for life!

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.
