Eddie is 2 to 3 year old whippet/lab mix and weighs about 40 lbs. He is the sweetest little guy you’d ever meet. He loves people. He’s shy at first, but once he gets to know a person, he loves his people. He’s good with other dogs as long as he is introduced slowly. He had a foster sister that he loved to play with, but she got adopted. He is a runner; he snuck past me and we did have to chase him down the street. Luckily, he is food motivated and with the help of some neighbors we enticed him with the food and got him back but again this is probably one of the reasons why he wound up in the animal shelter. He is house trained as long as he is kept on a schedule. He’s not crated when we leave and does fine. He doesn't need a fenced yard as long as he gets his exercise. Adoption fees are $225 for dogs over 6 months and $250 for dogs 6 months and younger. This fee includes spay/neuter, rabies shot if dog is over 4 months old, parvo/distemper shots up to the time of adoption, fecal check, microchip, and all dogs are heartworm negative.

Rover Rescue is an all-breed dog rescue group located 40 miles west of Chicago in Aurora, IL. The dogs/puppies in our organization have been rescued from high-kill animal shelters located in Illinois and Indiana.
