Christopher (whose real name is Tyson) is a sweet 8-year old male Labrador Retriever mix who was brought to the HSOV during the overnight/early morning hours on June 14, 2024 along with six other dogs who had shared his home. We learned later in the day that their owner was experiencing health issues and could no longer taken care of them.
Tyson has a brown/brindle short smooth coat with a patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, a dusting of white on his slim muzzle, and large semi-erect ears.
This handsome older gentleman has a super friendly personality and has tugged at many heartstrings since entering our shelter.
Tyson is being listed as a 'Special Needs Dogs' since he appears to be partially blind with limited vision, and he also has a large soft mass on his right hip.
Tyson weighs 52 lbs.
These photos were taken late in the afternoon on June 14th when HSOV Volunteer Tracy Lynn Moore accompanied Tyson outdoors for a short walk while the paparazzi followed him around for his celebrity pictures. Tyson doesn't seem to have had an 'walking on a leash' experience, but he made a noble effort while he was told 'what a good boy' he was (smile).
Tyson will be neutered before being adopted by his new family. He would be available to foster with an approved HSOV adoption/foster application.
