My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zeus, a stunning gentle giant in search of his forever home. This handsome boy is not only large but also incredibly fluffy, making him an irresistible cuddle buddy who loves nothing more than laying his head in your lap for affection. Zeus arrived from a home with many animals, where he developed a deep affection for people but can be particular about other dogs, especially males.

Zeus faces the challenge of hip dysplasia, a common issue in large breeds. His future guardian should be attentive to his needs, monitoring his mobility and prepared to provide any necessary medication as he ages.

If you're ready to welcome a loving companion into your life, Zeus is eagerly waiting for you. Could you be the one to offer him the care and affection he deserves? Submit your adoption application today and make Zeus a cherished member of your family!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
