My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Essence. Being a kitten, I'm full of energy and love. My days are filled with chasing invisible foes, and my nights are spent curled up in cozy corners. I'm friendly to everyone I meet, and I'm always ready to share my purrs and headbutts. My playful nature means I'm always up for a game, be it a string chase or a ball toss. Despite my youthful vigor, I also have a sweet, calm side. I enjoy quiet moments of companionship as much as my playful bouts. I'm not just a pet, I'm a companion, a friend, a source of joy. I'm Essence, and I'm ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and lots of purrs. Adopt me, and let's create beautiful memories together.

More about this rescue

Established in 1982, We Care Animal Rescue is a no-kill sanctuary and shelter for homeless animals in the heart of Napa Valley. Our residents live and roam freely in communal spaces with safe access to the outdoors.

Our staff ensures animals receive daily socialization, enrichment activities, and veterinary care — particularly the elderly and those with special needs. We provide a forever home for all our animals, either through adoption to the public or with us in our sanctuary.
