Meet Buckeye, a delightful puppy with a heart full of love and a playful spirit!
Buckeye has quickly adjusted to his foster home, showing his curious, energetic, and affectionate personality. As a young pup, he's energetic and loves to run around in the backyard. Chew toys are a must for him, as he loves to chew! Buckeye enjoys his daily walks but could benefit from some leash training. Basic obedience classes will be great for him as he learns the ropes. He responds exceptionally well to positive reinforcement and yummy treats, making training a fun and rewarding experience for both of you. One of the best things about Buckeye is that he is housebroken. Instead of a crate, Buckeye prefers to sleep on the cool floor or tiles beside his foster. He doesn't jump on the furniture but occasionally counter-surfs when no one is watching, as part of exploring his world. Buckeye has done great at the groomer's and is also a good car rider. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs, making him a wonderful fit for a family with kids or other pets. Buckeye is the perfect pup if you're looking for an energetic and loving companion who will bring joy and fun into your home!
Please Note:

More about this rescue
Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue, established in 2013, is an all volunteer 501c(3) dog rescue funded by your donations. We rescue companion and senior dogs, at risk for euthanasia, from overcrowded shelters and provide them with the medical attention they need. We also redone dogs for owners who can no longer care for them. We do not have a facility so all of our dogs live in foster homes through out the Northern Virginia area until their adoption day. We are proud that we find them perfectly matched forever homes and families. We rescue and find permanent homes for approximately 250 dogs a year.
