My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Little Krystol came to us with her sister Diamond when they were 9 weeks old.  They will be 11 weeks old on June 23, 2024.  Krystol is an adorable terrier like puppy.  She is fun and outgoing, loving adults, kids, dogs, and cats.  Her foster Mom wants her to go to an active family or person who will continue her training and keep her well socialized.  She is working on potty and crate training.  Currently, Krystol lives with another small dog and just loves to chase and play until they both fall exhausted into the same dog bed and fall asleep together.  It is highly recommended that she go to a home with another canine companion.  Krystol loves food and is working on her recall.  We encourage all adopters (especially of puppies) to sign up for a socialization/training class with a professional group.

Loving interaction with her 'People', she always has one eye on her Person.  She will stop playing to follow her foster mom.

Kristol has had most of her puppy vaccines - she is due for one more in three weeks when she will also be due for rabies vaccine.  Krystol is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and she is microchipped.

Her vet feels that she could grow to be 30-40 pounds - but that's just a guess--we have no idea of her DNA.  Puppies can't go longer than 1 hour for every month of age - so at this time, Krystol needs a potty break every 2-3 hours.  Please keep this in mind when making the decision to apply.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
