Tiger is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. Tiger does like to play as he knows what cat toys are for. He is house-broken and knows how to use a litter box. He does enjoy going outside and relaxing on my deck during the day and early evening, but I make all my cats come in when it gets dark. I think he even appreciates the birds singing, the fresh air and the shade the larger trees provide in the yard. At this time, I think he would get along best alone or with a non-threatening female cat. One of my female cats doesn't like him and chases him at times. Another one of my male cats acts as if he's been insulted by Tiger and is not getting along with him very well so I think personality comes into play here. I have no idea what he's like around children since I don't have any. I know Tiger gets scared easily if I am upset at my cats' behavior when there's a problem and I'm shouting-then he's scared of me, so he needs a calm environment. He's rather picky about the Fancy Feast canned food and prefers the pate variety, but will always eat the Purina dry cat food that is always available. He drinks water but will also drink half-n-half/milk. His bowel movements look normal. I keep the house at 74 degrees with ac and I don't think he likes it any colder than that. He has a healthy appetite and prefers to eat several times a day. Tiger has FIV.
