Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who doesn't love black kitten. Journey is the chunky monkey out of the group. Although he is the smallest he has a huge appetite for food and life. Journey is the energizer bunny among his siblings. He loves to play and will go and go and go....He is very adventerous and enjoys exploring new places, His super toy is the laser pointer only second to his play antics with his siblings, Hours of entertainment are happily provided by Journey. Giggles and laughter ensue when you are in the presence of Journey and his siblings. What better way to spend an evening interacting and playing with these adorable kittens. Journey can't wait to start his new life with his favorite person. A big plus for him would be able to have one of his siblings adopted with him, If that is not an option he would really enjoy a home with another young, playful kitten or cat.

All of our cats are in foster homes. You can meet a cat that you are interested in at our adoption center with an appointment.

Sign Adoption Contract

Prior to adoption, every CARE cat/kitten has received a thorough exam from a veterinarian, has tested negative for FIV/Felv (except as otherwise noted), been spayed/neutered if old enough, microchipped, dewormed, given flea preventative, and been inoculated against distemper. Rabies vaccine is given if the feline is over 4 months. Any other desirable medical attention has also been provided. Also, each cat/kitten has spent its rescued time in a private home in foster care being loved and assessed for temperament and personality, needs, likes and dislikes.

After your approval by our volunteers, a legal contract is signed with an adoption donation attached (this donation helps defray the medical costs incurred).
The adoption fee is a Donation.

(C.A.R.E.) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, care and adoption of cats and kittens rescued from euthanizing animal shelters in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas. And, accepts on a limited basis animals from alternative sources. We are committed to the highest principles of humane care and obtain professional medical treatment for all animals in our systems.
