Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Tzatziki, a stunning tuxedo kitty searching for a family of her own. Like many introverts, this sweet girl prefers to come out of her shell at her own pace and will need a patient adopter who will give her time and space to become comfortable with her new surroundings. Her foster family reports the way to her heart is treats, and she loves a good perch to sit on while gazing out the window. She's also becoming more comfortable playing with toys on a fishing line and will entertain herself with spring toys when left to her own devices. If you think it would be rewarding to watch your pet blossom as you earn each other's trust, Tzatziki may be the perfect match for you! She will make a wonderful companion to a low-key family looking for a kitty to love. Contact us to learn more about Tzatziki and arrange a meet and greet!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
