My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everyone, my name is Tobias! I am 4 years old, about 30 lbs. and I am an awesome, loving and sweet dog. I absolutely LOVE walks and any activity outside!

I am energetic and love playing fetch with a ball or my favorite blue stick toy but I also love any toy with a squeaker and playing tug of war! Pig ears are my favorite treat! I am smart and loyal, and even though I have energy and love walks, exercise and playing, I also love a good nap. I love being near my people. I do like all people but especially kids. My foster kids are 11 and 13 years old and I get to sleep with my foster boy every night, I am so lucky! Both my foster kids say that I am the best cuddler and give as many kisses as they will take.

I am fully house-trained and can easily sleep through the night and then sleep in on the weekends with my foster family- they love that!

I am not a big fan of kennels but right now my food and water are in the kennel so I go in there when I am thirsty or hungry. My foster family is starting to close the kennel door in small increments so that I get used to being in there and know it is my safe place.

I get along with dogs that are the same size as me or smaller but not big dogs because of some past experiences. I love my walks and I always try to play a game of catch with critters when we are walking... I have to keep you on your toes! A gentle redirection and maybe a small treat and we will be on our merry way.

I would make the best companion to anyone that is looking for a dog that can complete their family. I truly am one of a kind. I will always be happy to see you and will be right by your side, wagging my tail and showing you how much I love you. I would LOVE to find my forever home, please come meet me and I will show you how cool I am, then you can see my gorgeous hazel eyes in person!!!

Love,
Tobias

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned.  Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.  If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
