My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cricket will be adopted only in the Greater St. Louis Area. A securely fenced yard is a must. Please do not contact us if you do not have a fenced yard. No electronic fences. No small children. Cricket will need an experienced owner.

Cricket is a wonderful little Cattle Dog girl. She was found as a stray and very frightened. She is now in a great foster home where she has relaxed, kisses the cat, and does her best to get the other dogs to play with her. She is only a puppy at just a year old. She needs a home with lots of patience to assist her in overcoming her fears, especially of men. Once she warms up she's a real sweetie.

Cricket is a fast learner and knows sit, down, climb, sit pretty, and she walks well on a leash. Leash walking can get a little scary when strangers get too close or something new catches her eye. She does recover quickly and once she finds out they are not as scary as she feared she will move on. Patience and encouragement will help her through the frightening period of meeting new people. She is sweet and affectionate with people.

As with all herding breeds and teenagers she has lots of energy. She likes to run zoomies. And she likes to play. A fenced yard is a must, no electronic fences. Cricket is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.
