Take the Pet Home
Found all alone in Napa, Telly came to WCAL from an AT&T maintenance yard as an itty bitty baby who needed to be bottle fed. You may have seen her on WCAL's social media! We had some trouble weaning her onto canned food because she wasn't able to keep solids down at first. Telly was spayed and got a nose-to-tail sedated examination of her throat, esophagus, stomach, and intestines. No abnormalities or polyps or physical defects were found. Her vet believes Telly has an extra sensitive gut (a form of IBD) and that the likely culpret is a food allergy or intolerance. Her foster has begun some slow and steady experiments with different foods and we have found a diet she can tolerate. Telly was syringe fed for so long that she's a little underpracticed at chewing solid food, but she's learning fast and has a fantastic appetite. She's a spunky, active, athletic calico who is loud and opinionated with a fun personality. Telly is a petite, leggy girl. Every once in a while, Telly even slows down enough to cuddle! She loves her humans and is an amazing little cat. If you would enjoy sharing your home with an outspoken calico princess and don't mind feeding her a special diet to keep her feeling her best, then we have the kitten for you!
This kitten is one of those extra special babies - the ones our volunteers have bottle-raised. Kittens raised by humans are extra comfortable around people and love attention. Since they didn't have the opportunity to be raised by a mama cat, they have zero street smarts and we are looking for a family who is committed to keeping them indoorsonlyfor life. Act fast if you'd like to have a WCAL bottle baby in your family.
