My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sneezy the kitten

Hi Ho! Hi Ho!! It's off to work I go! ......

That is what the real 7 dwarfs would sing when they went off to work, but really, can you imagine a cat like me doing actual work?? I may have been named for one of the 7 little people but I certainly won't go get a job like they did. Uck!!

I believe in the well known adage that dogs have owners and cats have staff. I plan to be the one who is waited upon, not the one with a job who makes the money to keep me in the style to which I have become accustomed.

I see how the dogs in this house work the people to get treats and to get attention and believe me, I think they go about it all wrong. They wait patiently for someone to give them a treat or pay them attention, but you have to be proactive!

What they need to do is what I have been known to do to get someone's attention. I get up on the table or somewhere I shouldn't be and I play with the leaves of a plant for instance. Instant attention from the bipeds I live with. They rush over to pick me up and give me attention. See, silly dogs, it is so easy to get attention when you want it. Just pretend to be a little naughty!

Actually, I am pretty well behaved and don't have to do naughty things to get attention as I was a bottle baby here and love my people! They are like family to me since I never really knew my real mom. I will purr as soon as you pick me up and I Iove hanging out with you if you let me. And I do love to play with whatever you have in mind...especially if it is round, rolls and makes noises.

Adoption fee is $150.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
