My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cat disclaimer: God's Dogs Rescue plus Kitties does NOT transport any cats or kittens in or out of the state of Texas It is too stressful for the cats or kittens to be transported long distances, especially when enclosed in a vehicle containing dogs and puppies. Thank you for your understanding.

The Bond Boys

Sneezy and Happy are part of a litter group that came as bottle babies. They were covered with Ringworm and were so little it was unknown if they would survive or not. But here they are, 5 months later, spunky and healthy, and totally devoted to each other.

When you see one, the other is not far behind. They spend their days playing, chasing one another, hunting each other and generally avoiding the other pets in the house as if their world consisted of only those two.

Occasionally you will see one of them try to play with the 97# dog that lives here or will try to get the other kitten here to play but mostly, they are the dynamic duo, devoted to being with the other one.

While each has their own personality, they seem to complement the other so completely, it is hard to determine where one personality ends and the other begins. They are people friendly and will happily crawl into your lap or bed to cuddle. They are also dog friendly and didn't bother the possum when it came through the doggie door either.

So, if you are looking for ongoing entertainment of kitty antics and fun, and a couple of boys who will gladly stop and show you their affectionate sides, these two are for you.

These guys are fully vetted to their age, neutered, microchipped and on preventatives.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
