My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet adoptable Ori! She's a sweet and loyal 1.5 year old female shepherd mix. She's very smart and has gone through basic obedience training. She knows place, jump, and will tunnel through your legs. She's also very food motivated to learn new things. She's harness trained to heel next to you as she walks and she knows that it is polite to sit at entries and doorways and let her humans go first (as long as you remind her). She loves puzzle toys and can currently complete level 3 puzzles. She also loves snuffle mats, toys, chewing bones and her genius kong. She can be very silly and likes to 'talk' to you, especially if she gets her toy stuck somewhere. She has a lot of energy so an active family or a yard would be great for her. She also has a Bark Busters account meaning for the rest of her life you will get free in home training and support! In Ori's ideal home, she would be the only pup so she can get all the affection and attention. She can't wait to meet you and give you a ton of kisses! Interested in adopting this pet? Once your application is submitted and approved for the dog you are interested in, someone will call you to start the adoption process

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
