My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This young man is looking for a home with space to continue helping him learn and grow- Loki is an approximately 1 year old Husky/Lab mix that is working toward hitting large dog status in size. Loki is a smart guy- learning many basics, fully potty trained and crate trained. Loki does well with other dogs and children- cats so far are an unknown. Loki's 60 day update from his foster: "Loves car rides, snuggling, wrestling Buster (Foster's personal dog), anything outside and he's game. Minds very well on and off leash. Does great with other dogs and kids, is fully up to date on vet care. He is definitely ready to find a new home and be best buds with a new family to spend all the time with."

Loki is doing well outside having only a 4ft tall fence, but having a fenced yard for him is highly recommended. He is learning to mind his manners on and off leash- and hitting expert status! Loki is still a puppy, so getting into things, new person excitement, and chewing are not uncommon behaviors. His foster says the following on his overall demeanor "He likes to be right with me when inside. He likes to lick ALOT". If you think this adorable guy is the match your home needs in a dog- follow our link below and complete the required ADOPTION APPLICATION.

Additional adoption info

Dogworks strives to place dogs into permanent homes based on the dogs' personalities and yours. To adopt a dog, we require a completed application, approved vetting, signed adoption contract, and home visit.

Adoption applications are available on our website (www.dogworksohio.com) and at all Meet & Greets. Once your application has been submitted, we will contact your references and consider suitability. You will be contacted by phone or email, typically within 4 business days, to discuss arrangements for adoption contract and home visit.

Adoption fees are variable (typically $125-$250) and are listed with the description of each dog. Adoption fee will be refunded if you decide that the dog is not compatible with your family within 2 weeks.

Adopted dogs must be returned to Dogworks in the event that they can no longer remain a member of your household for any reason.

All dogs have been updated on vaccines and tested for heartworm prior to adoption. Adult dogs and puppies older than 14 weeks are spayed/neutered. Adopters of younger puppies are required to sign an agreement to complete spay/neuter by 6 months of age. We will assist with spay/neuter costs. Adopters will receive a copy of medical records.

More about this rescue

Dogworks is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group based in Toledo, OH, whose purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs. Our focus has been on sporting dogs, both purebreds and mixed breeds. Most dogs are rescued from euthanizing shelters, although some come to us from relinquishing owners or other means. All dogs are fostered in volunteer homes until adoption. We do not have a shelter or kennel facility.
