My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Karma is a gentle, affectionate, well-mannered girl pulled from a high-kill shelter by some wonderful volunteers. It is thought that she is an American Alsation mix. Alsations are a newer breed, a German Shephard-Malamute hybrid developed to resemble the extinct dire wolf but with the gentle temperament of a family pet. She’s 4-5 years old and currently weighs 83 pounds but is underweight; she will probably be 90-100 lbs. when she fills out.

Karma loves everyone and is polite but not shy. Unlike most large breed dogs, she is not high-energy and requires very little exercise. She does like a good game of fetch or tug of war (especially with her new stuffed pheasant toy!) but also loves cuddles, belly rubs, and long naps. She’s good on a leash and will sit for treats (she will also sometimes sit when no treat has been offered, and then glance toward the treats and then back at the humans, waiting for them to notice how politely she is sitting.)

This pretty girl is housetrained and is up to date on her vaccinations. She will be spayed before going to her forever home.

Karma will need a good-sized yard or to be taken on daily walks, but she prefers to spend most of her time indoors. She’s not a barker, is good with kids, shows no aggression toward other dogs of any size, and is even gentle with her foster family’s tortoise. She is an amazing girl with so much love to give.
