My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

Meet Mr. Ping of the Kung Fu Panda litter. They are Mutts... a little of this, a little of that. Mr. Ping is now 6 months old. He's a biggin'. These puppies are a mystery - they are larger than the DNA said, we think he could be 80# plus. Total floppy beasts. :) Ping is super friendly. He loves toys, and kids and other dogs, he would make a great family pet! Pictures don't do him justice. He's such a lovely puppy! Ping loves his crate and is doing great on housebreaking.

This whole litter can be a little shy at first. But he's so sweet and always has tail wags. They are gentle giants. His newest foster has older kids and he loves them. Ping was adopted briefly as an only dog and when the adopter's work schedule suddenly changed, he was returned. Upon his return to foster, we discovered he's much happier in the company of other dogs and we'd love him to have a friendly companion in his new home. We can't believe he has not been adopted, he's amazing!

This puppy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. He's been treated for internal and external parasites. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking reminders. He is crate trained and appears to be housebroken.

Many rescue dogs need patience when transitioning to a new home. We ask adopters to follow the 3/3/3 rules - allowing for patience and time for new pups to acclimated to their new home. We have made recommendations on their best home placement based on our foster home information.

Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.

Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood.
Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.

Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.

Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
