Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

Meet Shaw. What we can say... Husky! This whole litter are just beautiful, friendly, active and ready for a home prepared to meet their 'snow dog' nature. Currently in a foster home, he is learning all puppy things... crate training, house breaking, and more. He is doing great fitting in and is so good with kids and other dogs.
DNA is in and Shaw is mostly Husky at 79% and then a touch of Malamute, GSD and a tiny 1% 'wild boy.' He is about 4.5 months old and in the 20# range. We think he will likely be in the 50-60# range when fully grown. Shaw's ideal home is one with a large fenced yard / land, and Husky or 'super smart dog' experience. :)
This puppy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot!
Many rescue dogs need patience when transitioning to a new home. We ask adopters to follow the 3/3/3 rules - allowing for patience and time for new pups to acclimated to their new home. We have made recommendations on their best home placement based on our foster home information.
Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.
Save-A-Mutt may require a training contract and $100 refundable deposit (depending on previous dog experience) on our larger breed puppies. You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit.
This puppy is ready for his new home!
Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.
Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
