Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!
---
Meet Brooklyn! She and her siblings are just about the sweetest puppies. Her spots are ridiculous - almost like a Dalmatian. We had more of the litter, but before they could get to us in Washington, California adopters who met them loved their personalities so much, they adopted them. DNA says they are 75% bully breed with another 21% heeler. She was born mid February and is currently about 30# - she's a chunk.
Brooklyn's foster family LOVES her. She's smart, playful and outgoing. Brooklyn is in a home with dogs and older kids and is doing great. In between fun runs in the yard, Brooklyn likes to stretch out in the bed under the foster's desk. We think an active home ready for adventures - she would be great as an only dog, and good with another male pooch! As you can expect by her DNA, Brooklyn is a little bossy with other female dogs and just needs to be reminded she is not 'top dog' - her humans are.
This puppy is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking reminders in a new home. Brooklyn was recently put on pet insurance while waiting for her forever home and has been cleared orthopedically.
Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.
Save-A-Mutt is requiring a training contract and $100 refundable deposit for Brooklyn. It's Simple!! You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit. Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood. This puppy is ready for a forever home!
Adoption fee is $425. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.
Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
