Nike is 1-1/2yo, weighs 70lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped. Nikes's guardian adds: " Nike is an extraordinary pup who embodies resilience and determination, much like the goddess of victory herself. Despite a challenging start in her early months, Nike has triumphed and emerged as a beacon of strength and spirit.
Her desire to impress is matched only by her affectionate nature—she showers endless love with her trademark enthusiasm, happily greeting everyone with gentle licks. When she walks, Nike carries herself with grace, her joyful prance a testament to her vibrant personality and boundless energy.
Her beauty is undeniable, capturing attention wherever she goes. Recognized as a standout performer by her trainer, Nike has been hailed as a true 1 percenter in agility—a title reserved for the elite. With dedication and practice, it wouldn't be surprising to witness Nike dazzling audiences on television, conquering agility courses with her unmatched skill and charisma.
In every way, Nike exemplifies the essence of victory—overcoming challenges, spreading joy, and aiming for greatness in all she does.
She was trained at a training facility, but did not complete her training due to family's health issues. She does know 'sit', 'lay', and 'come'. We work remotely so she rarely rarely is home alone unless we are going shopping or running errands. Typically not more than 2-3 hours alone. She does fear thunderstorms and fireworks. During the day, she is inside or outside depending upon the weather. At night, she sleeps in her crate. During car rides, she is anxious and tends to not sit still and would rather jump to the front of the car."
Nike's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her: "She is a sweet girl, but too strong for our family and needs a job or be with a very active family. My family is struggling with health issues and that has become the priority over training her at the caliber she needs. She is also a jumper and has scared the neighbors a lot because of her size and eagerness to play with other dogs. She has not been well received in ther neighborhood and we do think it is because of her pitty look."
Nike's guardian offers a brief a medical history: "She has a history of happy tail and is still being monitored to see if her tails needs to be amputated. there is a scab on the tip at the moment but is not infected. She has excessive skin folds and had infectious canine tracheobronchitis when she was first adopted from the shelter. She has a history of eating things that are not great like plastic and sticks from trees."
Nike's guardian states the following regarding children: Nike lives with children, (ages 2, 5, and 6), so her guardian recommends her living with children at a minimum age of 10 years, stating "She is very friendly, but doesn't understand her strength so she will bulldoze over the kids which scares little ones and she will also lay on top of the kids and that is a lot of weight on smaller children".
Nike's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Nike lives with another dog, so her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "She loves other dogs but her friendliness may come across as overbearing or a threat to some dogs. She wants to immediately play with them. She has never fought or wanted to fight another dog, she is just a lot of energy and in the other dog's space way too quickly for some dogs' comfort".
Nike's guardian states the following regarding cats: Although Nike lives with a cat, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "She has a high prey drive, so small animals, like cats, should not be with Nike".
Nike's guardian describes her as:
Barks some
Very active
Playful
Friendly
Likes to be touched
Affectionate
Fearful (of some noises)
Fence jumper (she can scale a 7-foot fence easily)
Independent
Always at your side
Leash-trained (kind of, depends upon excitement)
House-trained
Crate-trained
Indoor pet
Outdoor pet (if someone is with her)
Likes men
Likes women
Nike's guardian describes her ideal future home: "Nike would benefit from a super active family and one that would be willing to get her the specialized training she deserves. She is pure agility dog, not many like her. She is a natural. She will have to be watched outside because she is a jumper and an escape artist (think like a husky). She would do great in a family with older kids. She loves affection for the most part, but she has high energy so she may not stay for a lot of cuddles before moving on to the next thing."
