My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💜 Foster or Adopt Nala 💜

Who is looking for a well trained dog? Nala is smart and absolutely stunning. She has a very nice foundation of obedience and with the right family, she will absolutely thrive. We are continuing to give Nala plenty of socialization and outings because she is VERY stressed in her kennel run. On outings, she has been amazing and very relaxed! She even attended her first meet and greet event and did superb! We are so proud of her progress.

She stayed on an overnight with our president and she was simply amazing! She’s crate trained, housebroken and LOVES playing with toys and her Nylabone. Nala is just a happy girl who is full of kisses and tail wags. She is 18 months young, is UTD, microchipped and spayed. We noticed that she is getting a lot of beautiful brown fur growing in and she is beyond soft to touch! She is around 68 lbs so she does need a strong handler but with the right tools she walks politely by your side!

She may need to be the only pet in the home but shows some strong potential for the future to live with another dog. She supposedly lived with a dog in the past and has done well meeting Brodie, one of our tester dogs. Nala loves to play and run around so she would definitely benefit from a fenced in yard. This girly is a great travel partner in the car and loves to look out the window. She also enjoys bath time and belly rubs!

An Adult home or teens would be best simply because she is a big goof ball and doesn’t know her size.

She has spent 6 of her 17 months in a kennel run. She is growing up without a home. We need to find her something quickly so she doesn’t shut down!

More about this rescue

Pitties and Pals Rescue, Inc. is (a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit). Our mission is to rescue dogs and educate the public. Although our main focus is the bully breed, we are committed to all dogs in need. We believe RESCUE involves a multitude of approaches that includes liberating dogs from at risk situations, whether in a shelter or with an owner in need of assistance. While adoption is always the ultimate goal, we believe transitioning into foster care allows for socialization and training that are key components to a successful placement.

Pitties and Pals volunteers are also committed to changing the negative public perception of the Bully Breed. As such, we welcome opportunities to heighten awareness and enhance education in a public forum through our personal stories and positive experiences.
