Mamkitty is a beautiful black cat that will need time to acclimate to a new home. She was found along with her kittens and brought into foster.
Mamakitty does not like to be confined. When bringing her home, please only open the carrier and let her come out on her own. She panics and may scratch or bite.
She doesn’t like to be cuddled or held tightly. She loves to be up high so a tall cat tree would be a good thing for her. Any tall shelves that her new family may have may become one of her favorite hiding places.
Once adopted, she will need time to adjust to new surroundings, including new people. Her new family will need to give her time to get to know them. She needs to be in a quite house with no children. She shows promise that she can get along with other cats. She still is afraid when being put into a carrier or a cage and shows resistance. This will be something that needs to be worked on over time.
She will come up to me & let me pet her, but I don’t ever expect that she will be a “lap cat”. Being held tightly & hugged makes her afraid.
Please see her complete history printed in her folder.
